Hartenbos Private Game Lodge is a privately-owned escapein the malaria-free region of Hartenbos, Mossel Bay situated on the Garden Route. The reserve is surrounded by pristine fynbos and alive with wildlife — from Lions, Rhino, Buffalo, Hippo, Giraffe, Eland, Golden Wildebeest, and Zebra to more than 25 species of antelope, including the renowned Springbok. It is also a sanctuary for smaller predators such as the black-backed jackal, caracal, bat-eared fox, and civet and for bird enthusiasts, the skies and bushveld are filled with a dazzling variety of birdlife, from raptors and waterbirds to vibrant bush birds, making the lodge a paradise for birdwatching.

For travellers’ convenience, George Airport is a short 40-minute drive away.

Chalet. The Luxury Villa accommodates up to four guests in two beautifully designed bedrooms, each with its own modern en-suite bathroom. Perfect for couples, families, or close friends, the villa offers privacy, comfort, and sweeping views of the surrounding landscape—creating the ideal setting for an unforgettable stay. One room features a Queen-size bed with an en-suite bathroom and a spacious walk-in shower. The second room offers two twin beds, also with its own en-suite bathroom and walk-in shower. At the heart of the suite, you’ll find a cozy central living area with a small kitchenette, dining space, microwave, fridge, and a comfortable lounge suite. Interleading doors connectthe rooms, and Satellite TV is available for your enjoyment. ;
Tent (2 Adults). Enjoy the magic of the outdoors with the comfort of luxury. Relax under the stars, surrounded by nature, without giving up modern comforts. Each Luxury Tent can accommodate a maximum of 2 guests and features a cozy bedroom, (double or twin options), private en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower and a bath, and a fully equipped kitchenette with microwave and fridge. Stay comfortable year-round with a fan and heater, and enjoy complimentary coffee & tea, towels, and toiletries.
