Just 9km from the South African border to Lesotho, Mkomazana exudes old-world, rustic charm from its days as a bustling trading post in the 1800’s.

Surrounded by the uKhahlamba Drakensberg Park, the Mkomazana River and two dams on the property, the cottages are a paradise for nature lovers. You are sure to see reedbuck and eland on our walking and hiking trails or spot an extraordinary range of birdlife including the majestic Black Eagle and the Bearded Vulture, Barrett’s Warbler, and Fairy Flycatcher.
